I've been in a music rut for a while, so this is the most excited I've been for some new musical discovery. I heard this song while watching The Dreamers (a lush hedonistic ideal of a movie that's only good when you suspend reality...). Anyway: Francoise Hardy, 60s chanteuse of simple romantic melodies and such enviable style. Definitely seems like Carla Bruni's musical icon, not to mention Alexa Chung's.

Moma interests

Had to go to Moma for art hum. Analyzed nature (or denaturing of) in Lam's Jungle and Gorky's Gardens at Sochi. Saw this intriguing centerpiece of two fans propelling a ring of silver ribbon perpetually in motion. What's fun and annoying about modern and contemporary art is not knowing wtf it means.

UNCenery

Even though it's the Fall-Winter straddle, November still yielded breaktaking colors at UNC.

duke's gorgeous campus

Honestly Duke is my favorite U.S campus and I've visited my fair share. Emerging from the impressive plot of wilderness forest that is Duke Gardens, the Duke castles loom strong and magnificent. Made me feel like a German princess wandering through the Black Forest finally reaching the grand estate.

Scott and I got to pay 2 dollars for this huge chunk of ham due to a special reward for frequent buyers at D'ag. I've never seen this much ham in my life! Now it's in the freezer...meat enough to last us for all of next semester.
